Delete Your MovieDuo Data
This page explains how to delete the data associated with the MovieDuo app, published by Adeeby Technologies LLC. MovieDuo has no user accounts — there is no sign-in, email, or password — so deletion is about erasing the data stored on your device and your half of any shared “couch” on our servers.
Option 1 · Delete in the app (recommended)
This is the fastest and most complete option. It works even if you never paired with a partner.
- Open MovieDuo and go to the Couch tab.
- Tap the gear icon in the top-right to open Settings.
- Scroll to the Danger zone and tap Delete my data.
- Confirm. The app erases your data immediately and shows a confirmation message.
If your phone is offline when you tap Delete my data, the on-device wipe still happens, but the server-side step may not complete. In that case, use Option 2 below.
Option 2 · Request deletion by email
Use this if you have already uninstalled the app, or if the in-app step reported that the server-side deletion did not succeed.
Email your request to
contact@adeeby.comInclude the 6-character couch code you used and the text “please delete my MovieDuo data”. We confirm within 30 days and aim to act within 5 business days.
The couch code is the only way we can locate your data, because we hold no name, email, or other identifier for you. If you no longer have it, tell us in the email and we will help on a best-effort basis.
What gets deleted
Retention: on-device data is gone the moment you delete it or uninstall the app. A fully anonymised couch document holds only nicknames and movie IDs — no real names, contact details, or payment information.
Third-party data
We cannot delete data held by TMDB, RapidAPI, YouTube, or Google AdMob on our behalf. To exercise deletion rights with them, use the contact details in their privacy policies, which are linked from our privacy policy. To change or withdraw ad consent, open Settings → Ad consent settings in the app.
